Why money is coming in
Foreign investors bought about ₹15,000 crore of Indian shares on Thursday, their biggest single-day purchase in nearly six years, according to exchange data reported by HDFC Sky. Wall Street’s sharp fall in AI stocks on Thursday pushed global funds towards markets with less AI exposure, and India is one of them.
The combined market value of BSE-listed companies crossed ₹500 lakh crore for the first time.
What to watch
Crude remains the main risk. Brent was near $98 a barrel on Friday afternoon, and attacks on oil tankers in the Gulf kept traders cautious. October inflation data is due on November 12, and the RBI meets from December 2 to 4.
